Approach
Together, we honour your story and discover what truly helps you heal and grow.
Tailored, Integrative Support
There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Each person brings a unique story, body, and way of being in the world. I work integratively, drawing from a range of therapeutic models to support your individual needs. This flexible, responsive approach allows us to adapt therapy to you — not the other way around.
Depending on what feels most helpful, I may bring in aspects of Mentalization-Based Therapy (MBT) , Compassion focussed Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness and somatic practices.
My aim is to help you experience more ease, fluidity, and choice. So rather than feeling trapped in old patterns, you can move through life with greater awareness, resilience, and freedom.
I bring a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive perspective to our work together. I speak multiple languages and understand that our identities, backgrounds, and lived experiences shape how we move through the world — and how we heal. You’ll be met with warmth, respect, and a genuine commitment to making therapy a safe and empowering space.
What we may navigate together
Trauma
A distressing event perceived as life-threatening can trigger PTSD symptoms—such as flashbacks, nightmares, and emotional numbness
Relational Challenges
Difficulties in relationships—such as trust issues, boundary struggles, or attachment wounds—often stem from trauma or unmet emotional needs.
Anxiety
Characterised by excessive, persistent worry and physical symptoms
Grief
A natural emotional response to significant loss—whether of a person, role, or home—that can take many forms and may become complicated or prolonged without support
Depression & Chronic Stress
Low mood, loss of interest, fatigue, and difficulty thinking are common in depression and chronic stress involving prolonged HPA-axis activation, risking both mental and physical health
Complex Trauma
Prolonged or repetitive exposure—often in early life or within personal relationships—to distressing events (such as abuse, neglect, war, or displacement) that fundamentally disrupt a person’s identity, emotional regulation, trust in others, and sense of self
Identity & Self-Worth Challenges
Persistent low self-esteem, shame, or unclear identity frequently arise from early relational trauma or stigma.
Personality Disorders and Challenges
Enduring, inflexible patterns in thinking, feeling, or behaviour that cause significant distress or impairment—such as emotionally unstable personality disorder (EUPD) or avoidant personality traits.
My Ethical Commitment
As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I am guided by the highest ethical standards in everything I do. I’m committed to people-centred values like trustworthiness, respect, autonomy, compassion, and justice — all foundational to the BACP Ethical Framework. This means:
- Putting you first, ensuring your emotional safety and confidentiality at all times
- Holding a transparent and respectful relationship, with clear boundaries around costs, commitments, and session structure
- Staying professionally competent — through ongoing training, supervision, and collaborating with peers
- Acting with courage and integrity, openly addressing any concerns, mistakes, or ethical challenges
- Fostering a space free from discrimination, where your identity and cultural background are honoured and your voice genuinely heard
